The Bianchi 2011 Pista Sei Giorni is a tribute to the 6 day track races, which lasts 24 hours a day, and the winning team is that who completes the most laps. Pista Sei Giorni translates to Track Six Days.

Now, the 2011 Bianchi Pista Sei Giorni fixed features a aluminum frame and fork, 48t crank, 16t fixed cog (with a single speed flip flop), drop track handlebars, and a front brake (although not shown in the picture). A dominate white paint job, plus red hints are sure to turn a few heads.

Bianchi will introduce a few new fixed gear bikes for 2011 (some have released in previous years, just new colors added). One model we take a look at is the Pista Dalmine.

Bald könnten auch Radfahrer von Apples Technologien profitieren. In einem Patentantrag beschreibt der Hersteller, wie man mit Sensoren in iPods und iPhone relevante Daten eines Fahrradfahres in Echtzeit sammeln könnte – in ähnlicher Weise wie es das Nike+ iPod Sport-Kit bereits bei Läufern macht.
Das System hätte den Vorteil, dass viele Sensoren bereits in Apples Hardware integriert sind und man deshalb nicht in weiteres Zubehör investieren müsste, schreibt Appleinsider. Unter anderem könnten Apples Geräte Informationen zu Geschwindigkeit, der Beschleunigung, der Höhe sowie zur Entfernung sammeln. Ein GPS-System könnte zudem den Standort bestimmen. Ein weiterer Vorteil: Über zahlreiche Netzwerk-Techniken könnte man die Informationen während des Fahrens mit anderen Sportlern austauschen.
